I’m a professional diver, this is a great dive computer for air and Nitrox. Battery is rechargeable – no sending back to manuf., no high cost to switch a batt. The charge held up great on my last dive trip, 10 dives in 5 days, I did not have to recharge and meter showed full thruout. Great graphics of logged dives and a cool graphic mode for the 15ft/3 min safety stop. Compared well in terms of conservative dive plan in comparison to my Oceanic dive computer. I really like the smarts incorp. in this watch. This is prof. grade.

I bought this watch for myself as a treat for becoming certified as a diver. It has all the great features for diving of a dive computer without the bulkiness of one. The only thing it DOESN’T record is AIR COMSUMPTION, so I had to buy a small pressure gauge. It did avoid me having to buy a large wrist computer and also a separate dive watch! Two separate times I was deep diving (about 80 feet) and it malfunctioned and just locked up for no reason. So the worst thing about it was my dives WEREN’T recorded in the watch. As it stores several hundred dives normally! Upon returning to the states, luckily for me, Citizen HQ is about 15 minutes drive from my house! They replaced it with a new one for free, since they could not get it to work again. NOW IT WORKS FINE! I wear it DAILY as a regular watch! It withstands BANGING and you can shower with it, and it ‘knows’ you aren’t diving and doesn’t record! I GET…

Purchased and used this watch for a number of dives and LOVE IT! Special pre-purchase note however: Watch is available in EITHER Metric or English measurements AND IS NOT USER CHANGEABLE AFTER PURCHASE! You get one or the other, so be very careful which model you are ordering. Watch itself is a great value, but I feel the charger/USB interface unit is HIGHLY OVERPRICED. |
